♥Hey beauties ♥
2014 has been one of the most amazing years! I was so fortunate to win a prize on the Pink Peonies blog. My favorite blog spot that I read weekly. One of the products in my prize was Balm Balm Little Miracle Rosehip Serum, it’s made from a blend of rosehip, jojoba and borage oils and infused with essential oils like rose geranium and frankincense to name a few, it also has lovely scent.
At first I was not sure if I should use it as I have such an oily skin. I did some research and decided to give the product a try; I could always give it to a friend if it did not work for me. I just love the results that I had with the product. I apply it in the morning and evening as part of my skin care routine. It is in a small bottle and has a medicine dropper that helps me not to waste the serum. I only mix two drops with my moisturizer and apply all over my face and neck there are NO greasiness although it’s an oil. My skin absorbs every bit of it and it leaves it smooth and soft. I have also not noticed any increase of oil on my skin like I would with other oil base products that I have used. It definitely improved my skin texture and it must be providing me with the necessary oils my skin needs.
I have read that rosehip oil diminish scarring and useful in the treatment of sun burnt……… this was perfect as I used it to sooth my sunburn on a recent holiday to the south coast and it definitely worked for me. I also used a little more in my daily routine when I had the flu recently and it definitely helped with the dryness around my nose. It still got the sign of dryness around the tip of my nose but it cleared so quickly which was wonderful. It retails for R284.95 and you can buy online at RubyBox.
As mentioned above my skin is oily, so I prefer to use a primer underneath my foundation and I prefer a prime that mattifies my skin. Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer is lightweight cream with a serum texture. When I apply it to my skin it is absorbed into my skin immediately and you can’t see that you have applied it as it looks colourless. It does not feel heavy and I don’t mind applying my foundation over it. My skin looks radiant and the texture looks smooth. The primer contains silicone but I have not experienced a break out from it. When I did research on the product I read that some people have breakout when products contains silicon.
I have finished my 1st bottle; I ordered myself two new bottles from Rubybox this morning (R155.95.) I am not sure how I am going to manage until they are delivered. The main reason for ordering 2 bottles is that I don’t run out on the primer again. When I love a product I always have a spare in the cupboard. But I must say I am stress and cannot understand why I waited for the bottle to be completely finished before I placed my new order. I have tried a few primers and have not found anything that matches up to this primer. I just love it! ♥
In closing there is also an illuminating primer from this range but I will not be trying this product as I prefer the matitified look. But is you are looking for the illuminating look I would definitely give a try.
I have been looking for a perfect foundation that will be long-wearing that does not come off on my clothes, and I am happy to say I found it in the Estee Lauder – Double Wear Foundation. It has 15 hour staying power and is flawless all day. I have used it now for the last month and this will be my go to foundation for during the week. The colour I use “3N1” Ivory Beige is perfect. It is light weight and dependent on the coverage I need it is buildable. There is not much I can say about the awesome foundation except maybe breaking out in song and dance. I am just so happy that I decided to buy this product. It reatails for R450 and can be purchase online at Estee Lauder or at any Edgars, Red Square, Foschini, Stuttafords, Truworths store. This will be money well spend beauties.
